"Our group of 9 fit perfectly in the Rivercroft cottage. It was an easy walk into town for coffee and shopping. What a quaint lake town! Back at the house, we enjoyed chatting by the fireplace and cooking in the fully stocked kitchen.
The many windows throughout the house made it cheery and bright. The house was well decorated and very clean."

Spectacular sugar sand beaches
We are centrally located near the towns of Leland, Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay, and right on the wine trail. It is an ideal location for exploring Leelanau County; within a short scenic drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Suttons Bay, Northport, or Traverse City. You can walk into the town of Leland for coffee, lunch, ice cream and even wine tasting at Verterra, or drinks at Rick's Cafe overlooking the Leland Dam!
The Bluestone Cottage is a great location in the fall too. Leelanau County is lively with great restaurants, easy access to Traverse City, stunning Leelanau Conservancy hiking trails, the TART bike trail, superior golf courses, tennis and basketball courts in nearby Suttons Bay and award-winning wine and microbrewery tours -- hard ciders too!

Saugatuck is “one of the world’s best beach towns” (US News & World Report) and was named “One of the top 25 Beaches in the World” by Conde Nast Traveler.
The Rivercroft Cottage provides a central location to explore it all. We are right on the Blue Star Bike Trail which offers easy access to downtown Saugatuck and Douglas, Lake Michigan beaches and to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park for hiking trails which lead to a gorgeous beach along the shores of Lake Michigan.
This bike trail is enjoyed by runners, bikers and strollers and connects 200 miles of bike trails between Holland and Van Buren State Park in South Haven.
There are lots of family friendly activities in the area. Spend a day at Oval Beach, a very easily accessible public beach in Saugatuck, head to Wade’s Bayou to rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards to explore the beauty of the Kalamazoo River, take the Chain Ferry across the Kalamazoo to climb up Mt. Baldhead and walk to Oval Beach. If you are a foodie, don’t miss the Root Beer Barrel, taste jams at American Spoon, sip local wines at Fenn Valley Vineyard or visit one of the many breweries like the Saugatuck Brewing Company or Virtue Cider in Fennville.
Fully immerse yourself in the pleasures of “The Art Coast”. The Saugatuck and Douglas communities offer tons of summer events including art festivals, music and dance performances at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, art shows at Ox Bow, multiple openings at the art galleries and Chamber Music concerts at the Women’s Club.
In Fennville, you can visit a U-pick farm or select fresh veggies from a farm stand, have pie and cider at Crane’s Orchard, peak at the Curious Children’s Museum and the Art Barn or take a private tour of the Peachbelt Art Studio.
